Just an idea. 105 mentioned something about it. Nobody on our forum can run a server. My ISP is blocking people from accessing my computer I think.

I love MK. I really do. I'm happy for you guys to use the server, but I'm not renaming it iKarion. :p Running a server isn't too terribly difficult to do. I'm sure someone can do it, and I'll help whoever wants to set one up. |

^^This. What ISP do you have? I don't know why anything would be blocking access to your computer. If you're talking about port forwarding, you can enable that in your router's settings. As far as I know, the only people who can't host a server are people with dial-up. They might be able to, but idk and I doubt it. And I have a working copy of the HG/SS patch if you do happen to get a server working and will gladly give it to you. I have no real use for it anyway. It also includes the event Arceus moves (Spacial Rend/RoT/SF) and DMeteor Jirachi, but I can take those out quite easily if you object to them. |

AT&T I don't think it's my ISP but I don't know what else it could be. I forwarded the port and I know I did it right because it was working for a long time then it wouldn't let anyone connect anymore. I even forwarded a different port (yes, I changed it in Server.properties) and it still wouldn't work. The server will run and I can connect, it's just no one else can. I have the HG/SS patch on it. I posted a help thread on Smogon but the best they could do was tell me to contact my ISP or router company. Lesley, we were joking about ikarion. lol

Huh. I have AT&T and have never had a problem with hosting a server. Except that now we have one of their worst packages and my router loves to disconnect me, but that's another thing. Did your IP address change or anything? |

Nope, I have a static IP. I'm pretty sure the port's forwarded right..... I'm still deciding whether it's a server problem or not. i can connect but no one else can but I know the port is forwarded right. Is there anyway to check whether or not the port is fowarded? |

Yeah. Type your IP address in your address bar and then you can edit/check all of your router settings from there. |

It's my gateway and I did that... I forwarded the port and made shoddy NEVER on blocked programs. Still will not work. :/ |

Deathfox: What company makes your router? Different manufacturers will have different requirements for allowing port forwarding. Check this list of routers and firewalls for information on what to do with different brands of routers. |
